In Sympathy with the immigraters

I'm starting to develop some empathy for the sometimes annoying immigration fans for Australia and New Zealand! NOW WAIT! before you start throwing rotten tomatoes or banging your expensive device you reading this for hear me out! Please!

I am the number one cheerleader and ambassador of all of Africa, and not just a pretentious one either. I am fortunate to be working on a project that is exposing me into Africa I might have otherwise bunched up into the stereotypical Africans are poor and so corrupt category way too often hear about. Instead thou I am finding an incredible amount of optimism, spirit of can do, hard working entrepreneurs  who are surprisingly not waiting for anyone to hand them anything.

We no longer breathing

Last night I drove home from dinner, and it was only as I opened my garage door that I realised that I didn't remember a single thing about trip. I drove on usual autopilot with my mind already calculating what I needed to do before finally getting a chance get into bed and what I needed to do when I woke up and then I realised that perhaps for quite a few months now, I haven't quite lived in the moment, I haven't just had a moment to breath! I am no longer consciously breathing! How sad! Have you taken a conscious breath lately?

Its summertime and suddenly I have a pile of wedding invitations and in chatting with the rather progressive and outspoken brides and future makotis they all have a wonderful list of the things they simply will and will not do once they are the Mrs most of them directed and I fear unsuspecting in-laws who are obviously overjoyed that their boy is finally settling down and finding a wonderful girl to take care of him, join their clan and bear them chubby little grandchildren, one of which must be a boy (but that’s a subject for another day’)
